.cheers.

so a couple of years back, skyler (my sister, for anyone who is lost), made me a mixtape. (ok, it was really a CD, but "mixCD" just sounds lame.) anyhow, i recently found it again and plugged it in on my way to work this morning. as i skipped through the songs, i reminisced about the various reasons they'd been chosen, until i reached the final song. having not listened to the mixCD for quite a while, i had forgotten the random addition of "Where Everybody Knows Your Name," the infamous theme from the sitcom Cheers.

i listened to those lyrics, thoroughly amused, for the last few minutes of my drive, then went about my day. as i was sitting here, the title line kept going through my head. now, while it is possible that it's because of the fact that of all the lines in the song, it's one of two i think anybody knows (i know you're singing the other one right now...."and they're always glad you came"), but i'd like to think that it's because it's true. i commented to aaron just recently how grateful i've been for all the company we've had in the last few weeks. moving is hard, and although i think it's where we're supposed to be, at least for the time being, sometimes it's nice to be "where everybody knows your name."

so if you've been out to see us, thank you! and if you're coming soon, thank you! and if you haven't yet.....well, there's still time! :)

thanks for reading my sappy blog on a wednesday afternoon. i hope you're all well.
