Let me preface this by saying that baby girl fascinates me to no end. However, the older she gets, the more I forget to record those little things that thrill me on a daily basis, and therefore I am left with fewer and fewer pictures to document her little life.
That said, the pictures of our trip are random, not due to my artistic design, but more to my saying "oh shoot" and grabbing the camera a moment too late. (ie, We went all the way to AZ for a wedding. It was Micah's first wedding. Did I get a single picture? No.)
But I did manage to snap the following "jewels":
Hotel room improv = no bathtub shower, so Micah showered with Daddy...and actually seemed to love it more than the bathtub at home!
(She looks like such a chub to me!)
At a raging 110 degrees, being outside ANYwhere in Phoenix is no bueno. Therefore, we camped out in a Barnes & Noble under the guise of needing to "feed the baby." (I submit for proof Exhibit A, the baby's feet protruding from beneath the famed "nursing tent.")
As I will post in a bit, TV is one of Micah's favorite things. So shoot me, or really her father, who I'm going to say is the bad influence in this case...
And finally, something we can both be proud of- the fight for who will most significantly impact our child. (And by "impact," I most certainly mean "sway her to our beliefs regarding what is right and good in the world.")
Mommy's Way
Daddy's Way
(Read into this what you will: upon entering the PGA Superstore, Micah promptly blew out her diaper.)
All in all, a good trip, and a nice chance to get away. The following items remain undocumented, but I swear they really happened:
*Micah and I visited with my two great aunts in Mesa
*Aaron played the fastest round of golf ever (just shy of 2 1/2 hours)
*We attended the wedding of our friend, Beth, from our church in AZ
*I ate the most delicious chocolate peanut butter cupcake EVER
*Aaron was finally able to try the elusive banana cupcake ("elusive" because I think it's disgusting and therefore will NEVER make it)
*We had a nice dinner out at Outback Steakhouse, where we were bombarded by the extremely irritating one-sided "conversation" of the pompous windbag seated behind us, only to find out that he was from California (thanks a lot, bud)
*We attended church at our old church in Prescott Valley & saw many friends we haven't seen in almost a year
*We sold our Arizona fridge (WOOHOO!!!)
*We had dinner with one of my college roommates, Ashley, and her family
*And we made it home safely!
