This year, Micah dressed as a pony. A pink pony. Maybe the off-brand My Little Pony. One cannot be totally sure, but don't worry....nothing could put a damper on her candy-collecting, bounce-housing fun. In fact, it was difficult to catch a picture of her in her costume because she WOULD NOT STOP MOVING. Why I'm surprised, I don't know.....we're going on 9 months at warp speed now.......
We started out the evening at a church carnival. Micah loved having the other kids around, but was sad that she couldn't participate in most of the activities. We did, however, find one sparsely-populated bounce house where Micah let loose without fear (as usual). She cried when we made her get out due to an overpopulation of crazy 6 year old boys.
Once home, we took her around to a few of my mom's neighbors, where Micah demonstrated her candy-collecting skills. She was not satisfied with "receiving" a piece or two of candy. Nope. She was only satisfied when allowed to use both hands to scoop candy into her bucket. She even yelled "No" at a neighbor's dog when he poked his nose into her bucket without permission.
At the end of the evening, the good news was that she did not understand what candy was, and instead thought she had a great collection of crunchy-sounding toys to sort into piles, and in and out of her bucket. :)
Anyhow....please forgive the red eyes in some of these. At this point I just wanted to get them posted!!
