anyhow, as she enters her third week of life, here are a few of the things we have learned about her so far, along with a few pictures. (i tried to create a baby announcement to send out the other day and discovered i don't have a "cute enough" picture to put on it! am i a terrible mother?)
1) she snores. (like her dad....because me, i NEVER snore.....) usually it occurs when she looks like this:
believe it or not, that started the day after she was born...we hadn't even left the hospital yet when we discovered this.
3) she has many faces to match her many emerging personalities:
we call this one "milk drunk"
we call this "little old man" (you know, limited hair, wrinkled forehead, no teeth...)
we call this one "the thinker"
we call this "the calm before the storm"
needless to say, there are many other faces, we just can't always get to the camera fast enough. she even smiles quite a bit, sometimes even when she's awake. ;) unfortunately, i'm guessing it will take us quite a while before we can capture that!
4) she's willing to try anything....for five minutes. :) there was the rocking chair (which was really only so i could snap a quick photo for my mom), the cute flowery hair bow (which lasted about 10 seconds because her hair is too thin to support a hair clip yet), the swing (which lasted 20 blissful minutes at its longest), the crib (where she felt comfy for, oh, 30 minutes), the boppy (which lasted a wonderful 45 minutes), and the winner (drumroll, please)......the car seat (where she is generally calm, self-entertained, and sleepy, and therefore sleeps at night...and sometimes for as long as 5 1/2 hours!)
that's it for now. we've certainly learned a lot more, but i lack the photos to complete those stories at this point. :) enjoy these for now....more to come! :)
It is so strange how EVERY baby is so different.
